Japanese Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. honey
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. oil
    1 egg
    1 c. persimmon pulp
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. each nutmeg and powdered cloves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream together honey, butter and oil. Beat
    egg
    lightly\tand
    add.
    Prepare persimmon pulp by cutting persimmon
    in
    half.
    Scoop out the pulp, removing any seeds, and break up the fruit with your fingertips.
    Dissolve baking soda
    in pulp.
    Combine
    persimmon with honey mixture. Stir nuts,
    raisins and salt into flour.
    Add cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
    Stir
    dry ingredients
    into
    wet
    ones.
    Drop by heaping teaspoons
    onto oiled cookie sheets.
    Bake 20 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
