Ingredients

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. soda
1 t. salt
5 c. flour
1 c. crisco
1 c. molasses
1 T. ground ginger
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream crisco and brown sugar, beat in eggs and molasses. Sift together flour, soda, ginger and salt.
Add to cream mixture, add boiling water gradually and beat well.
Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees until done.
