Ingredients

2 sticks butter, softened
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. plain flour
1 lb. pecans, chopped fine
2 c. confectioners sugar
green food coloring
red food coloring
Preparation

Blend butter, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla.
Add flour.
Beat egg whites.
Roll dough into balls.
Dip in egg whites.
Roll in pecans.
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Cool on a rack.
Mix 1 cup confectioners sugar with food coloring.
Moisten with milk.
Ice cookies on top.
