Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. peanut butter
3 c. quick-cooking oats
tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil sugar, milk, margarine and cocoa for 1 1/2 minutes. Start timing after mixture reaches a full, rolling boil. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter, vanilla and oats. Stir until blended. Then drop on waxed paper by teaspoonfuls. Coconut or chopped dates may be added, if desired. These may be placed in the refrigerator to hasten hardening.
