Creamy Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

1 medium cabbage
1/4 c. flour
1 c. whipping cream
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp. melted margarine or butter
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. toasted bread crumbs
Preparation

Coarsely chop the cabbage and cook for 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Melt butter in saucepan and add flour and stir until smooth.
Gradually add milk and cream and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg. Add cabbage to sauce and pour in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with cheese and top with buttered crumbs. Drizzle with melted butter and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
