Ingredients

1 c. soft shortening (vegetable or oleo)
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. rolled oats (old fashioned)
2 c. crunchy cereal (Grape-Nuts flakes, Rice Krispies, etc.)
Preparation

Mix shortening, eggs, sugar and vanilla.
Gradually add other ingredients.
Nuts, chocolate chips or raisins may be added to dough, also.
Bake at 350\u00b0 or 375\u00b0 for about 10 to 12 minutes.
