Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold milk
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 egg yolks, beaten until thick
    4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Combine meal, salt and cold milk.
    Add to scalded milk.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick, about 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add butter.
    Stir a small amount of corn meal mixture into beaten egg yolks, then return to corn meal mixture.
    Mix well, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart souffle dish.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes (do not open oven door).
    Serve immediately with lots of butter.
