Kabooboo Bread(Sioux Indian Bread, Chippewa Indians Call It Banek) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening and stir in milk.
    Pat out on lightly floured board.
    Knead lightly and lift into well-greased skillet.
    It can be placed in a moderate oven to bake, but the best is to place the pan over a campfire--high enough so it will bake without burning.
    Can be eaten with butter, honey or jelly.
