Ingredients

1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar until fluffy.
Gradually add flour. Roll dough on floured surface 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into squares or diamonds.
Prick cookies with fork.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
Remove immediately to cool.
