Mary Raper'S White Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. raisins
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 c. raisin water
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cover raisins with water and cook until tender.
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add flour, raisin water and beaten eggs.
    Add spices.
    Add the raisins, well dredged in extra flour (not seeded raisins).
    Bake in stem pan about 1 hour.
