Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening or margarine
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sour milk (put 1 or 2 Tbsp. vinegar in milk to sour)
1 c. mashed bananas
Preparation

Cream shortening, vanilla and sugar.
Add eggs.
Beat well, stir in dry ingredients.
Fold in bananas.
Bake in 2 small loaf pans or 1 large pan, greased, for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
