Wartime Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1/3 c. hot water
1 rounded tsp. soda in hot water
dash of salt
2 Tbsp. vanilla
2 c. unsifted flour

Preparation

Mix together all ingredients.
Roll and cut about 15 large cookies.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 12 minutes.
