Split Second Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. soft margarine or butter
    1 unbeaten egg
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put in bowl flour, baking powder and sugar.
    Blend in butter, egg and vanilla.
    Form into 4 rolls (3/4-inch thick, 13-inch long).
    Place 4-inches apart on cookie sheet.
    With knife handle, make dent down center of each roll.
    Fill this dent with jelly or jam.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    While warm, cut diagonally.
