Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    5 c. flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    1/3 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a large bowl, cream sugar and Crisco.
    Add molasses and vinegar.
    Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon and salt.
    Add alternately with the soda and water to the creamed mixture.
    On a lightly floured board, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Cut with a 2 1/2-inch cookie cutter or a drinking glass dipped in flour. Place on greased baking sheets approximately 1-inch apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 8 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
