Brown Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box light brown sugar
4 1/2 c. plain flour
2 1/4 tsp. soda
2 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Mix with sugar and Crisco, add eggs and vanilla.
Shape into rolls on waxed paper.
Refrigerate until cold.
Slice and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 or 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen.
