English Muffin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 1/2 to 6 c. flour
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. baking soda
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    cornmeal
Preparation
    Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda.
    Heat liquids until very warm (120\u00b0).
    Add dry mixture; beat well.
    Stir in enough flour to make a stiff batter.
    Spoon into 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch) pans that have been greased and sprinkle with cornmeal. Cover; let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Remove from pans immediately and cool.
    To serve, slice and toast.
    Makes 2 loaves.
