Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
48 maraschino cherries, dried
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. baking soda

Preparation

Mix butter and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to creamed mixture.
Form into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Push cherry in center halfway.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
