3/4 c. canola oil
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. cornflakes *
2 c. rolled oats
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
raisins (optional)
nuts (optional)
Preparation

Blend oil and sugar (will not be \"creamed\" like shortening). Add eggs and vanilla.
Gradually add flour sifted with salt, soda and baking powder.
Add cornflakes, oatmeal, coconut (and raisins and nuts, if desired).
Batter will be very stiff, it takes muscles to stir all ingredients to mix thoroughly!
Drop by teaspoonful on baking sheet and bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0. Should bake in 8 to 9 minutes.
Makes at least 3 dozen.
