Boiled Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. (scant) water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil brown sugar and water in covered dish.
    Do not stir.
    Let it boil until syrupy.
    Dip fork until it spins a thread.
    Have egg whites beaten stiff.
    Pour syrup over egg whites, beating constantly to desired consistency.
    Add vanilla.
