Ingredients

3/4 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. (11.5 oz.) chocolate chips
Preparation

Cream the shortening, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes 7 dozen.
