Chicken Marengo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 lb. chicken parts (great with boneless and skinless)
    1 lb. (about 16) small whole white onions or 2 regular onions, chunked
    1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
    1 can golden mushroom soup
    1 medium garlic clove, minced
Preparation
    In large skillet, brown chicken in shortening; drain.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover; cook over low heat for 45 minutes or until tender.
    Stir now and then.
    Uncover; cook until desired consistency.
    Makes 6 servings.
