Ingredients

1 large pkg. chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. walnuts, finely chopped
2/3 c. shortening
3 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
Preparation

Melt chocolate chips in condensed milk in top of double boiler. Stir in walnuts.
Turn off heat and cool.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Add egg and milk; stir.
Divide dough into 5 balls.
Roll out each dough ball between sheets of wax paper.
Spread 1/5 of chocolate nut mixture on rolled out dough.
Roll up, pinching sides as you go.
Pinch ends of dough.
Repeat with remaining dough balls and chocolate mixture. Place rolls on a foil lined baking sheet.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 oven.
Do not overbake.
When rolls are finished baking, remove from oven and let cool completely.
Before serving, cut in slices.
