Sweet Potato Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
2 2/3 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. cold mashed sweet potatoes
3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
2/3 c. strong coffee
Preparation

Cream the butter, shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Blend in sweet potatoes. Sift dry ingredients together. Add nuts. Stir in creamed mixture alternately with coffee.
Pour batter into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
