Sugar Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pecans and walnuts
    2 egg whites
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Melt butter (do not brown it) in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Add dash of salt to egg whites and beat until soft mounds form.
    Gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff mounds form.
    Fold nuts into mixture.
    Spread nut mixture over butter.
    Stir well every 10 minutes for 30 minutes or until brown and all butter is absorbed. Put in oven at 350\u00b0 and bake for 30 minutes.
    Stir in large bowl.
