Cranberry Orange Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. flour
    4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    4 medium eggs
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 lb. cranberries, chopped coarsely
    juice and rind from 4 medium oranges
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and soda together.
    Pour juice into 4-cup measuring cup.
    Add rind and shortening and enough boiling water to make 3 cups of liquid.
    Make well in the center of the dry ingredients.
    Add liquid with orange rind.
    Stir until dampened.
    Add nuts and cranberries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Bake in bread pans (6 small or 2 large).
    Great at holiday time and for gifts.
