Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
pinch of salt
Preparation

Blend butter and sugar; add egg.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
This makes a very stiff dough and the last addition of flour must be worked in gradually.
Form 2 rolls; wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate.
Slice and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300\u00b0 for 10 to 20 minutes.
Dough keeps in refrigerator for a week.
