Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. pecans, broken
3 eggs, separated
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 large bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk and let set while mixing cake.
Add egg yolks and mashed bananas and beat well.
Add milk alternately with sifted flour, beating after each addition.
Add vanilla and pecans.
Finally, fold in egg whites that have been beaten stiff, but not dry.
Bake about 45 minutes in Bundt pan at 300\u00b0.
Can also make into two small loaves or in sheet pan for 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
