Grandma'S Molasses Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 egg
    1 c. Grandma's molasses (gold label)
    3 large bananas, mashed (about 2 c.)
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp. finely grated orange rind (optional)
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter.
    Beat in egg, molasses and banana.
    Mix in remaining ingredients just until blended.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Cool on wire rack.
    Makes 1 loaf.
