Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    2/3 safflower oil
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
    Using lowest speed of electric mixer, blend oil, molasses and egg.
    Add sugar and blend.
    Gradually add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Chill dough 2 hours.
    Form into 1-inch balls.
    Roll each ball in granulated sugar.
    Place on Teflon baking sheet and sprinkle each cookie with 2 to 3 drops of water.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
