Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
2 beaten eggs
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. nuts
coconut
Preparation

Combine sugar, dates, eggs, shortening, vanilla and salt.
Cook over low heat 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Cool.
When cool, add 3 cups Rice Krispies and 1/2 cup nuts.
Makes into balls and roll in chopped coconut.
