Ingredients

2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 small pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Remove both oven racks and cover with foil.
Turn oven at 350\u00b0.
Put egg whites into small mixing bowl.
Beat as for meringue, gradually adding sugar and vanilla.
Beat until forms very stiff peaks.
Remove beaters and carefully fold in chocolate chips and chopped pecans (optional).
Drop teaspoonfuls on foil racks.
Place racks in oven and turn oven off.
Leave overnight and do not open oven.
Remove and store in airtight container.
