Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Blend salt and lemon juice with shortening.
Cream in sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add pineapple and sifted flour and soda.
Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen.
