Anadama Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. warm ???
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    6 to 8 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine water, salt, cornmeal and shortening.
    Cook until thick; cool.
    Combine and blend well the rest of the ingredients. Knead and let rise.
    Punch down and form into 2 loaves.
    Put in bread pans.
    Let rise until double.
    Bake at 375\u00b0
    for 40 to 50 minutes.
