Crispy Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    dash of cloves and allspice
Preparation
    Mix molasses, shortening, brown sugar and water.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover and chill 4 hours or until firm. On floured board, roll out dough 1/2 at a time until paper thin. Cut with 2-inch round cookie cutter.
    Place 1/2-inch apart on ungreased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes or until edges are barely brown.
    Makes 48.
