Sugar Cookies Or Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
4 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
4 eggs
1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
4 c. flour

Preparation

Combine Crisco, salt, lemon rind and nutmeg. Add sugar and cream well. Add beaten eggs and milk, mixing well. Sift flour with baking powder and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies by stamping with bottom of flat glass dipped in water. Sprinkle cookies with sugar. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 dozen cookies.
