Ingredients

2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. dark brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Combine flour and cocoa.
Mix well and set aside.
With an electric mixer at medium speed, blend sugars and butter, beating to form a grainy paste.
Scrape down sides of bowl. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fully mixed.
At low speed, add the flour and chips.
Do not overbeat.
Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes. Immediately transfer cookies to a cool surface.
