Rhubarb Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. liquid shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. rhubarb, diced
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix ingredients in order given.
    Grease 2 bread pans and sprinkle a topping of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon butter, mixed, over the dough in the pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Do not overbake.
