Peanut Butter-Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco (butter flavor)
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. water
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. Quaker oats
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Beat first three ingredients until creamy.
    Add water and vanilla.
    Add combined dry ingredients.
    Mix well; cover and chill 2 hours.
    Heat oven to 350`.
    Shape in 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
    Flatten with tines of fork dipped in sugar to form crisscross pattern.
    Bake 9 to 11 minutes.
    Cool 1 minute before removing from pan to wire rack.
    Makes 7 dozen.
