Prune Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. prunes
    2 1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soak prunes overnight; remove seeds and chop fine.
    Mix with sugar, shortening, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Cook over low heat for 15 minutes and cool.
    Beat in eggs, flour, soda and salt.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0 in loaf pan.
