Banana Spice Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. mashed bananas (about 2 large)
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. Kretschmer original wheat germ
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Beat together the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in bananas, milk and eggs.
Gradually add combined dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
Spoon into prepared pan.
Bake for 70 to 75 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
Cool completely on wire rack.
Serve with cinnamon butter or other flavored butters or fruit preserves.
Makes one loaf (18 slices).
