New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bottle clam juice
    1 pt. heavy cream
    4 Tbsp. chopped onion
    2 cans chopped clams
    fresh chopped dill
    1 pt. half and half
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in clam juice from canned clams and bottle. Cook only until tender (not mushy).
    While potatoes are cooking, saute onion in butter until golden.
    Add to potatoes with clams, half and half, salt, pepper, cream and dill.
    Simmer until hot. Do not overcook.
    Substitute haddock or cusk to make fish chowder.
