Ingredients

1 c. molasses
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. hot mashed potatoes
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped raisins or prunes
Preparation

Combine molasses and shortening; add hot potatoes.
Sift all dry ingredients together and add to molasses mixture.
Then add chopped, cooked raisins or prunes and stir.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes at 325\u00b0.
