Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Stir together flour, baking powder, soda and 3/4 teaspoon salt.
    Set aside.
    In a mixer bowl, beat sugar and shortening with electric mixer until light.
    Add eggs, one at a time, then milk, beating until smooth.
    Add flour mixture and banana alternately to creamed mixture, beating until smooth after each addition.
    Fold in nuts.
    Turn batter into a lightly greased 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 65 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
    Cool in pan 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan; cool.
    For easier slicing, wrap and store overnight.
