Grandma Zimmerman'S Chocolate Marshmallow Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 or 1/2 c. cocoa
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk

Preparation

Combine the first 3 ingredients, then add in the rest and mix together to cookie consistency.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
When done, remove from oven and top each cookie with a half of a marshmallow with cut side down.
Return to oven for 1 minute.
When cool, ice with frosting and decorate with candy, if you want.
