Cranberry-Orange Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. orange juice
    4 tsp. grated orange rind
    3 c. flour
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. frozen cranberries, halved
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inch.
    Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly.
    Stir in milk.
    Blend in dry ingredients; stir in.
    Blend in cranberry halves and nuts.
    Pour into pan.
    Bake 60 to 70 minutes.
    (Crack in top of the loaf is characteristic.)
    Cool thoroughly before slicing with a very sharp serrated knife.
