Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. white granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. shredded coconut
2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugars and eggs.
Mix with dry ingredients. Add coconut, oatmeal, vanilla and chocolate chips. Make into a ball the size of a walnut. Press on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
Yields 7 dozen.
