Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
15 small (about 1-inch) peanut butter cup candies, sliced in half crosswise
Preparation

Beat butter until creamy.
Add sugars gradually and beat thoroughly.
Beat in egg, then vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
Form into 1 1/4-inch balls and place on greased cookie sheets; flatten slightly.
Press one peanut butter cup candy half in center of each cookie, peanut butter side up.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool on wire racks. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
