Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped (if desired)
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Beat eggs until light and add.
Press bananas through sieve or mash them and add lemon juice.
Blend with cream mixture.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and mix into banana mixture.
Add nuts or raisins. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan at 375\u00b0 for about 1 1/4 hours.
