Ingredients

1 c. nuts, finely chopped
1/2 c. butter or other fat
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream the fat and sugar.
Add the egg and vanilla.
Sift the dry ingredients together.
Add the nuts and combine with the first mixture.
Stir until blended.
Chill and then form into a roll of the desired size.
Roll in wax paper and chill thoroughly.
