3/4 c. salad oil
1/4 c. dark molasses
1/4 c. maple syrup
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cardamon (optional)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 large egg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Into a large bowl, measure 1/2 cup sugar and remaining ingredients.
With mixer at low speed, beat ingredients until well blended, occasionally scraping bowl with rubber spatula.
